I’m sorry for only replying now but I figured it’d be best to answer these in one post.
So, firstly, yes I am on hiatus. Two Reasons: I.) I’m sorting out things for uni this year which obviously gets priority & 2.) Riverdale doesn’t feel worth it anymore, idk why exactly since this show has always been messy but recently I’ve just not cared about the show and I just don’t get excited about it like I used to - not even for varchie which RAS had to mess w too .
Aww I miss writing too, and thank you for your kind words anonie 💙 . I just feel very uninspired and unmotivated to write varchie which sucks but idk how to fix it. So yeah, I’m not working on anything rn I’m sorry !
Also this hiatus will probs be until the next episode of riverdale. I’ll watch like the first 3 eps of 2019 and if I enjoy it again the hiatus will end and if not I’ll probs make the decision to go on a permanent hiatus.
Happy New Year! I thought I’d make one of these appreciation posts because I didn’t do one for Christmas so (why? long story short I’m lazy and like to procrastinate). This is for some of my best friends here and some blogs that I totally love and adore and too scared and anti social to talk to. I love all of these blogs here and you all made my 2018 so here’s to seeing you all in 2019!

Well, it seems like there’s a conversation happening behind the scenes.
Look, I stopped watching the show because it ain’t my cup of tea anymore. I’m no longer interested in the style of storytelling that this series seems to have deliberately adopted (which frankly, to me, watches like a drunken game of ad-libs). And I know I’m not alone. People have been grumbling about the decline in quality since season 2 and we’ve seen a significant fandom drop off since the premiere of season 3. There’s simply something about the way they’re telling the story doesn’t appeal the majority of the fans. And the critiques are rather consistent across the board.
It’s not a story problem. It’s a writing problem.
I still obviously adore the idea of Riverdale. I’m still in the fandom because I like the characters and what made me stick around for so long is this AMAZING cast and this amazing fandom, so I am hoping that this show eventually turns around and starts listening to the genuine concerns of its fans.
We’re rooting for you, Riverdale. Help us along before your fandom runs out of steam and we all start drifting.
